Call for Presentations
CTA Annual Conference, Colorado Springs, CO, May 4 - 7, 2008
Ascending to the Peaks of Technology Together
If you have successfully deployed innovative technology in the field of Corrections, we encourage you to share your experience and knowledge with your peers at our Colorado Springs, CO conference. Our attendees, primarily Chief Information Officers and Chief Technology Officers, are most interested in "case studies" and practical applications of new technologies in prison and community correctional settings.
Examples of topics of particular interest to our attendees include:
- Inmate/client tracking and monitoring techniques and systems
- Applications of biometric, authentication, GPS, GIS mapping, ID technologies
- Assessment, treatment, intelligence, and investigative practices/systems
- Disaster preparedness and emergency response provisions/technologies
- Open source software and sharing of software
- Information management, standards, integrated justice, business intelligence/analytical processing
- Compliance with regulations (e.g., HIPAA, ITIL, sex offender registry, etc.)
- System infrastructure and resource management
- Managerial and organizational strategies (staff recruitment/retention, outsourcing, training, etc.)
To volunteer to make a presentation at CTA, please e-mail the following to Paul Lewin, CTA President:
- Names, titles, and contact information of all individuals who will be involved in the presentation
- An abstract summarizing the content of your presentation (300 words or less)
- A brief biography about the presenter (200 words or less)
The deadline for volunteering to present is January 15, 2008! The CTA Conference Committee will evaluate all submissions in a timely fashion and respond accordingly. Please contact Paul Lewin if you have questions about the conference or making presentations.
